The global viewer begins at world scale for orientation. High-resolution Sentinel-2 and Landsat searches require a focused view: select a preset or zoom to a region before loading imagery.

Current imagery

Use Sentinel-2 for focused, recent landscape visualization where cloud conditions permit.

Historical context

Use Landsat to inspect longer-term landscape conditions and historical scenes.

Future global products

Coarser global climate, fire, land-cover, water and ecosystem datasets will be added as validated thematic layers.

Interpretation discipline

Visible differences may reflect season, cloud, sensor, atmosphere or viewing conditions and require analytical validation.

Every public layer must identify the data producer, observation period, spatial resolution, licence, processing method and uncertainty.
